Cost Management Professional for Real Estate Construction Projects

The Turner & Townsend Group is seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Professional to join our team in a exciting opportunity. This role will be based on site and/or office, with regular travel required.
About the RoleThis Cost Manager will play a key part in delivering high-profile construction projects for major clients worldwide. You will be responsible for managing the cost planning, estimating, and procurement activities of these projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
As a Cost Management Professional, you will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a small team of professionals. You will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly planned and executed. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
- Apply Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriate involve Turner & Townsend's specialist Value Management team.
- Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
- Manage the procurement process, implementing procurement and contracting strategies and participate in negotiations.
- Evaluate post-contract cost variances and change control processes, documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
- Ensure that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
- Presentation of monthly post-contract cost reports to clients.
- Value engineering and life cycle costing Drive value engineering and offer cost insights to support business decisions.
In addition to your technical skills and experience, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
