About the Role

Gensler's Borderless Lab is a unique team that provides support to ongoing projects worldwide. As a Designer, you will coordinate and work with a global team of Architects, Designers, and Design Managers to complete outstanding projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Design Director in creating and developing overall design concepts.
  • Formulate design presentation strategies.
  • Provide creative and process leadership to multiple design teams through all project phases.
  • Support project design and delivery, working with design and technical directors.
  • Participate in and lead conceptual design, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and production.
  • Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee and deliver documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality.
  • Select and research building materials and generate material specifications.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
  • Establish and maintain productive client relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent.
  • 6+ years of project experience in an architectural practice.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
  • 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written, with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.
  • Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience.
  • Strong leadership, communications, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relations.
