Position Overview:

In this senior client-facing role, the Lead Amazon Advertising Strategist will report directly to our Director of Marketing. This position entails overseeing client campaigns with a significant level of independence. The ideal candidate will be tasked with devising strategies and managing media across various Amazon digital marketing channels, monitoring responses, and providing performance reports to clients. We seek a professional marketer who is organized, innovative, dynamic, and eager to explore new ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management: Develop and oversee Amazon campaigns across multiple Amazon-owned channels (including all sponsored ad types, display ads, OTT, Amazon Affiliates, etc.) to foster growth for our partners.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and present Amazon marketing strategies that utilize the complete array of Amazon marketing channels. These strategies should be informed by customer and market insights, establish goals and KPIs, and include detailed implementation plans and budgets.
  • Budget Management: Oversee media expenditures across accounts to ensure alignment with approved budgets and ROI objectives. Key performance indicators include ACoS and TACoS.
  • Brand Growth: Propel overall brand growth in relation to advertising sales while adhering to monthly budget allocations.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve marketing-related issues on Amazon as they arise.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Deliver comprehensive ad hoc analyses and end-of-month performance reports.
  • Research and Recommendations: Conduct competitive landscape and keyword research, providing actionable strategic insights for client marketing initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the content team for campaigns requiring design and copywriting, and coordinate with the Account Manager to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Proficient in English.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of expertise in all Amazon ad types and bidding models.
  • Certification: Certified in Amazon Ads.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with bid management tools such as Carbon6, Helium10, Scale Insights, Skai, etc.
  • Communication Skills: Capable of effectively conveying advertising data trends to non-advertising teams.
  • Project Management: Proficient in using project management and time tracking tools such as Asana, Teamwork, Wrike, Trello, Basecamp, Workfront, etc.
  • Agency Experience: Background in a fast-paced agency environment managing multiple client accounts.
  • Personal Attributes: Ability to maintain energy, responsiveness, and enthusiasm in a remote work setting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities with experience collaborating with remote team members.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Google Ads/e-commerce background for Google Ads media buyers is highly desirable.
