Community Support and Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Support and Engagement Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support, managing our Slack community, and engaging with members to create a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Support: Respond to member inquiries via email and chat, providing professional and timely support during PST hours.
  • Slack Channel Management: Monitor and manage our Slack community, engage in discussions, and respond to member questions to keep the conversation active.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with comments, facilitate connections between members, and ensure that all community members feel supported and valued.
  • Event & Workshop Support: Assist with setting up event pages on platforms like Lu.Ma, keeping event details updated, and coordinating with guest speakers to gather bios and event descriptions.
  • Mentor Office Hour Support: Manage mentor cancellations and notify waitlisted members of any openings.
  • Administrative Support: Help track campaign success, prepare reports for advertisers, and manage follow-up communications.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are necessary to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in customer support or community management is a plus, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Canva for basic design tasks and familiarity with Slack or similar communication platforms are required.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently during PST hours is essential.
