Lease Accounting Senior Team Lead

Kenvue is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of consumer and healthcare products. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lease Accounting Senior Team Lead to join our Finance Operations team.

This role is a key member of our Finance Operations team, responsible for supporting Kenvue's Lease Accounting processes in compliance with company policy and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all activities related to Lease Accounting, including initial lease assessments, disposals, transfers, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures to comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Support ongoing improvements and automation projects within the accounting team.
  • Remain current with industry trends, changes in accounting rulings, and latest technologies to ensure the team is evolving as per industry standards.
  • Timely closing and execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX requirements.
  • Accountable for completeness, accuracy, and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
  • Driving deep expertise, ensuring team members are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
  • Generate ideas, foster, and implement continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities.
  • Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy.
  • Internally recruit, mentor, and drive the individual Process SMEs to ensure cross-sector, cross-region, and cross-process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.
  • Compliance:
    • Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
    • Understand, adhere to, and execute worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate/prevent breach.
    • Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve 'adequate' internal and external audit ratings.
  • Leadership and People Management:
    • Attract, develop, and retain a highly competent, high-performing, motivated, and diverse Credo-based team.
    • Develop succession plans for and support career development of the team.
    • Ensure effective performance management within the team.
    • Lead an Accounting team of 2+.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of professional experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of Management/Supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Be open to new ideas, rapid change, and embracing new technologies.
  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO.
  • Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized, and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office in particular Excel.
