Job Description: Financial Recovery Auditor

The Financial Recovery Auditor will utilize audit concepts and proprietary tools/reports to conduct audits by examining clients' accounts payable financial data. The ideal candidate will identify variances and/or errors in procurement and payment processes to recover revenue.

This role involves understanding, manipulating, and analyzing electronic data (primarily in Excel or Access). The auditor will review contracts, agreements, paperwork, and electronic documents for possible missed opportunities in vendor funding. They will inspect and evaluate client financial information, including buyers' files, client standards, manifests, purchase orders, invoices, statements, DSD purchases, and freight invoices to audit and analyze client business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits using audit concepts and proprietary tools/reports
  • Identify variances and errors in procurement and payment processes
  • Review and analyze electronic data, contracts, and agreements
  • Inspect and evaluate client financial information
  • Support and document audit claims operations
  • Produce claims using appropriate audit concepts

The Financial Recovery Auditor must understand overall audit compliance, adhere to specific audit guidelines, and meet audit deadlines. This role also involves providing insight and recommendations for audit process improvements and supporting the audit team.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We prefer candidates with 2+ years of related experience in an office environment and computer proficiency in Excel and/or Access.

Prior experience in retail or grocery procurement, A/P processing, and database knowledge (dbase or SQL environment) are desirable. Preference is given to candidates who can work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the success of the organization.

Working Conditions

This role requires occasional stationary work, movement, lifting, and/or moving up to 15 pounds. Regular sitting, hand use, reaching, and communication are necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 based on location and industry standards.
