Summary of the role:

An ideal candidate will have experience designing cloud native solutions that use modern practices and patterns. They will be effective communicators, collaborating closely with team members on cross-functional scrum teams. They will work with product owners and engineers to identify the roadmap, plan, and prioritize work to deliver value incrementally. They will mentor engineers to implement patterns and designs effectively. They will work with DevOps and Site Reliability engineers to plan deployment and operational views. They will document systems using diagrams and visualizations, supporting operational and deployment planning, security reviews, and artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:

·Guide a team to deliver microservices based on reference architectures, including integration patterns and communication protocols.

·Provide documentation and diagrams for other architects, engineers, product, security, and operations to understand the system.

·Work with enterprise architects and engineering teams to build application modernization roadmaps, adhering to enterprise standards.

·Hands-on prototyping of solutions to drive value and demonstrate vision.

·Ensure operational and security standards are architecturally addressed in collaboration with security and technology teams.

About the ideal candidate

  • Relevant work experience: 8+ years designing and delivering software applications using C#.
  • 3+ years of experience in solution architecture for integrated enterprise-scale applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with modern architectural patterns and practices – including API best practices, Domain Driven Design, CQRS, event-based architectures, etc.
  • Experience with cloud native deployment patterns.
  • Understanding and experience of Database and data modeling with SQL and NoSQL Data stores.
  • Familiar with implementation of Observability using Open Telemetry specifications.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across multiple groups, ability to present solutions, and build consensus.
  • Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD processes for scale, including blue/green, red/black, canary, CI/CD, and resiliency engineering.
  • A proven record of leading microservice modernization efforts is highly desirable.
  • Travel industry experience is a plus.
  • Azure certification is a plus.
