Strategic Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Market Development Analyst (MDA), the Strategy and Project Lead will guide the evolution of each country from the conceptual phase to operational transition, utilizing a blend of analytical skills, project management acumen, change management capabilities, facilitation, and business management knowledge. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the organization's current strategic direction, historical initiatives, and future objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyzing and assessing internal business plans to ensure alignment and identify gaps across various operational areas. Monitoring competitive trends, creating forecasting models, conducting scenario analyses, evaluating strategic performance, identifying emerging market opportunities, recognizing potential business threats, and devising innovative strategic solutions. Collaborating with the Sales & Operations teams in each country and the Shared Services organization to secure support, establish priorities, coordinate activities, and gather pertinent information for effective business management. Assisting in the preparation and contribution to regional and country-specific budgets, forecasts, monthly sales reports, strategic business reviews, and other essential business documents and presentations. Seeking synergies in shared initiatives and Sales & Operations activities across the region, including marketing and advertising strategies, sales training and incentive plans, value-added proposals for clients and governments, business intelligence and CRM standardization, and process improvements. Ensuring compliance with group and sales strategies, policies, and relevant regulations.Project Management Duties
The role also involves the continuous enhancement, implementation, and execution of the Global Blue process, particularly in project planning. The incumbent will:
Support and coordinate local organizations to guarantee high-quality execution of one-time projects and process modifications. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and maintain accurate logs of information. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing reports and facilitating handovers to the business. Undertake necessary business initiatives and make informed decisions to achieve assigned objectives, capitalize on opportunities, mitigate risks, and enhance team organization quality. Regularly establish and update policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
