Position Overview:

The role involves preparing and overseeing client shipping orders for both domestic and international destinations. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with shipment requirements and maintaining proactive communication regarding order status.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email for the Logistics Department.
  • Initiate new shipment orders for various routes.
  • Verify incoming orders from the customer portal for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams across the US and EU.
  • Utilize operational tools to ascertain import regulations.
  • Guide clients on customs procedures and regulatory requirements for international shipments.
  • Notify destination offices regarding shipments needing special handling.
  • Provide clients with standard pricing estimates.
  • Plan domestic shipping routes while adhering to carrier specifications.
  • Coordinate domestic shipments to ensure timely departures.
  • Document customer expectations clearly in the job file.
  • Monitor ongoing shipments and relay updates to clients.
  • Manage system visibility reports effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support both clients and internal teams throughout the shipping process.
  • Track shipments during transit and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Issue precise instructions to operational teams for optimal shipment handling.
  • Engage with national and international partners.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Shipment Types Handled:

Domestic and international shipments of pharmaceuticals and biological materials, including packaging for items under 1000 lbs.

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, along with relevant experience in logistics or operations management.
