Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Markets Application Specialist to join our team at 3M. As an Application Specialist, you will play a key role in providing solutions and supporting multiple customers in the Electrical Markets division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide application engineering support to customers in the Andean Region.
  • Collaborate with key accounts to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret documents, quotations, and BIDs.
  • Develop technical documentation, including product specifications, technical datasheets, and user manuals.
  • Stay updated on regulations and standards impacting the portfolios in the areas of support.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in electrical products.
  • Manage product homologation processes with power utilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation for product homologation.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
  • +3 years of professional experience in engineering or other technical activities.
  • Advanced level of English proficiency – the entire process will be conducted in English.
  • Familiarity with electrical products and their applications.
  • Capability to interact with customers and stakeholders from different levels.
  • Ability to analyze standards, BID documents, and prepare technical proposals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the Andean Region.
