Job Summary:

A Paralegal (Bilingual English/Spanish) plays a critical role in legal, immigration, or regulatory compliance contexts. This position involves proactive commitment for responding to RFEs issued by authorities, such as government agencies or legal entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all RFE responses adhere to relevant immigration or legal regulations and requirements, staying up to date with changing laws and policies.
  2. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance metrics to track the team's productivity, response times, success rates, and client satisfaction.
  3. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of RFE cases, responses, and outcomes for reporting, analysis, and compliance purposes.
  4. Response Integrity: Prepare RFE responses completely, carefully, and with accurate information.
  5. Case Management: Inform clients of the RFE within 48 hours of case assignment, diligently preparing responses in a timely manner and requesting documentation as necessary.
  6. Follow Up on Cases: Ensure that cases have adequate and proactive follow-up.
  7. Monitoring Changes: Support the team to detect and inform their supervisor of the trends they notice in the RFEs, including new strategies that could be applied to other cases.
Requirements:
  1. Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  2. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree.
  3. Experience: 2+ years of professional experience. Previous experience in managing a team or leading projects is preferable.
  4. Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and processes, as well as the ability to interpret and apply legal documentation.
  5. Team Worker: Skills and abilities to work as a team member.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to clients and team members.
  7. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of RFE responses.
  8. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing legal documents, regulations, and requirements to formulate appropriate responses.
  9. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple RFE cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  10. Customer Service Orientation: A commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and applicants, often in challenging and time-sensitive situations.
