We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Process Analyst to join our team at Diageo. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes, working closely with our suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a point of contact for our markets and key suppliers, providing expert guidance and support on accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Work closely with our AP Manager and department management to ensure that our accounts payable processes are running efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our key collaborators, including our procurement team and external suppliers.
- Provide training and support to our team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounts payable operations.
- Ensure that all accounts payable transactions are accurately and timely processed, and that all relevant controls and procedures are in place to prevent errors and irregularities.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our company's financial systems and processes, including our ERP system and other relevant tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with our procurement team to ensure that our purchasing processes are aligned with our accounts payable processes, and that we are getting the best possible value from our suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our company's risk management policies and procedures, and ensure that our accounts payable processes are aligned with these policies.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to our management team on the performance of our accounts payable operations, including key metrics and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounts payable, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems, including SAP and other relevant tools and technologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop recommendations for process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
