The Human Resources (HR) Department at The World Bank provides strategic collaboration to the organization, focusing on the development and execution of workforce strategies to achieve organizational objectives, which include attracting, nurturing, and deploying a diverse and skilled workforce.

Key Responsibilities


• Facilitate and manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from job advertisement to candidate onboarding for all positions within the region, ensuring compliance with metrics related to time-to-fill, workforce planning, diversity in hiring, and overall candidate experience.

• Proactively engage with Recruitment Officers and Hiring Managers to monitor recruitment progress and oversee the recruitment and appointment process, which includes posting job openings, updating candidate statuses, organizing job launch meetings and interviews, administering recorded video interviews and assessments, managing online interview documentation, liaising with candidates for necessary information, coordinating salary offers, issuing appointment letters, collaborating with global mobility teams on benefits and relocation, initiating onboarding processes, and managing background screening.

• Conduct longlisting while ensuring alignment with business requirements.

• Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining a transparent process, providing timely updates, and integrating candidate feedback.

• Monitor requisition statuses and relevant metrics to guarantee timely and quality recruitment delivery.

• Assist in recruitment campaigns and batch hiring initiatives for the region.

• Collaborate with Recruitment Officers to develop and sustain talent pipelines and candidate sourcing strategies.

• Support talent outreach initiatives in the region and actively promote The World Bank as an employer of choice.

Qualifications


• A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing high-volume human resources transactions, including recruitment, or an equivalent combination of education and professional HR experience.

• Proficient in English and Spanish, with strong writing and speaking abilities, capable of delivering clear and consistent communication, including professional emails, reports, and presentations; proficiency in Portuguese is advantageous.

• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Familiarity with recruitment and HR systems/software.

• Excellent customer service orientation and responsiveness, with the ability to manage multiple demanding clients.

• Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity in problem-solving and task execution.

• Positive, open-minded, collaborative, discreet, and capable of maintaining confidentiality.

• Ability to multitask, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines and performance metrics.

• Sensitivity to cultural diversity and the ability to engage effectively in a multicultural environment.
