Job Summary

The Principal Clinical Data Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of end-to-end data management deliverables, including trial and standards-level data collection specification authoring. This role will also provide technical guidance and design-specific recommendations to Lead Clinical Data Managers as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality and consistency of data management requirements, specifications, and deliverables across trials and therapy areas.
  • Author and consult on data collection and validation specifications.
  • Review and quality-check specification documents and other deliverables.
  • Provide process and technical recommendations and guidance to LCDMs.
  • Support LCDMs through consultancy, teaching by example, and mentoring.
  • Partner with functional area representatives to ensure database standards and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with end-to-end clinical data management processes, procedures, trends, and regulations.
  • Identify and develop areas for improvement in data management processes, standards, and tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement special projects and data management tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Clinical Trial Data Management or 5 years' experience in Pharmaceutical and/or medical or research-related field.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end clinical data management and clinical development process.
  • Process-oriented with QC/QA profile, technical expertise, and standards knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
