Job Summary

TeleSign is seeking a skilled Messaging Routing Engineer to join our team. As a Messaging Routing Engineer, you will be responsible for proactively analyzing worldwide routing patterns, defining optimal routing profiles for customers, and monitoring message delivery rates and connectivity performance across our messaging paths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise in TeleSign's underlying routing logic and vendor dependencies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of message delivery and customer-based routing escalations.
  • Collaboration with teams to identify service-impacting issues and adjust customer routing profiles for continuous delivery.
  • Reactive work with customer-facing teams on vendor-related customer escalations requiring routing remediation.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality of existing routes and customer traffic while maintaining QoS on expected levels.
  • Troubleshooting and working with suppliers on issues related to latency or delivery.
  • Discovery, testing, and documentation of features of providers and routes.
  • Maintenance of operator data.
  • Objective definition of a baseline of routing-related processes and procurement procedures.
  • Identification of processes in need of optimization or automation.

Requirements

  • Higher education in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in the SMS industry.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Comfort speaking with all levels of the organization and acting as a subject matter expert for messaging operations best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, data visualization, and analysis).
