About the Role

HP is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to join its marketing team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for defining the scientific approach to model development, contributing to innovative ideas and methods, and coaching less experienced staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement models to uncover patterns and predictions, creating business value and innovation.
  2. Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
  3. Collaborate with business partners to evaluate and foster data-driven innovation.
  4. Develop clear presentations for senior decision makers, including case for change, options, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  5. Maintain proficiency within the data science domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts.

Requirements

  1. Extensive experience using statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages to solve business problems and deploy ML models into production at scale.
  2. Theoretical understanding of statistical models such as regression, clustering, and ML algorithms such as decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  3. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, comfortable on the command line.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate data insights to non-technical audiences and at senior management levels.
  5. Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  6. Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience.
