Job Summary:

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in a factory environment. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for providing on-site services and support to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and equipment.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for IT-related issues and concerns in the factory environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues effectively and efficiently, ensuring that computers are delivered in a 'ready-to-use' condition for IT users. You will also provide ad-hoc training to users on common IT issues and guide them through self-service tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve IT-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure that computers are delivered in a 'ready-to-use' condition for IT users.
  • Provide ad-hoc training to users on common IT issues and guide them through self-service tools.
  • Manage the physical stock of devices and accessories, including updates in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Conduct regular inventory checks for relevant hardware.
  • Coordinate logistics by utilizing local logistics providers to transport and relocate devices between locations.
  • Handle warranty cases in collaboration with the appropriate Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) vendors.
  • Identify and report potential risks that could impact the quality of OSS services.
  • Support the setup and deployment of hardware and software in the factory environment.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in IT from an accredited university or college, or completed an apprenticeship in the field of IT.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT Infrastructure Specialist role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences in local language and English.
  • Fluent in English is a mandatory requirement.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Able to work independently and is self-driven.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
