At Carbon Health, we are seeking an experienced Market Access Contract Development Specialist to join our team in San Francisco. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative healthcare organization that is shaping the future of patient care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and resourceful professional who can develop and execute strategic plans for provider and ancillary contracting in all markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of exceptional performance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.

About You

  • You have a quantitative track record of exceptional performance, with a strong focus on results-driven outcomes.
  • You possess resourcefulness and grittiness, responding to adversity with perseverance and creativity.
  • You excel at coordinating, prioritizing, and managing complex projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
  • You are process-oriented, defining and optimizing workflows that support quality, timely outreach to hundreds of inbound leads per month.
  • You are a team player with proven ability to develop strong working relationships within fast-paced environments.
  • You have advanced written and verbal English communication skills (C1 level).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; healthcare experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with credentialing, legal, licensing, revenue cycle, and other teams to manage the contracting process, including creative lead generation, discovery, contract evaluations, and live deal negotiations.
  • Help develop the strategic plan for provider and ancillary contracting in all markets.
  • Partner with regional account managers to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified opportunities and contract implementations upon closing.
  • Cultivate, manage, and maintain long-term, productive relationships with health plans and medical groups.
  • Work with analytics and revenue cycle teams to create OKRs to optimize rate structures, increase overall annual revenue, and renegotiate contracted rates with payers.
  • Act as a liaison between market access and field teams to gather and address any payer issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop special reports and execute special projects.
