This is a remote, independent contractor role where the ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and marking up HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with US mechanical codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system layouts, schematics, and mark-ups.
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to create accurate 2D and 3D mechanical models, collaborating with engineers and contractors to resolve conflicts before construction.
Work closely with US-based project teams to provide mechanical design expertise, ensuring constructability and efficiency.
Analyze mechanical plans, perform quality checks, and recommend improvements for compliance and efficiency.
Perform HVAC load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection, ensuring designs comply with ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC, IPC, and local codes.
Prepare technical reports, submittals, and drawings for review and approval.
Cordinate with field engineers, project managers, and construction teams to provide ongoing design support.
