About the Job

  • This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely as a Senior Plumbing Systems Designer, supporting our virtual design and construction efforts.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and mark up plumbing and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with U.S. plumbing codes and industry standards.

  2. Create accurate 2D and 3D plumbing models using AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam, collaborating with other trades to resolve conflicts before construction.

  3. Provide constructability reviews and plumbing design expertise to project teams.

  4. Analyze plumbing plans, perform quality checks, and recommend improvements for compliance and efficiency.

  5. Calculate water supply, drainage loads, and pressure drops, ensuring proper pipe sizing and fixture counts.

  6. E nsure plumbing designs adhere to IPC, UPC, NFPA, and other U.S. standards.

  7. Prepare technical reports, submittals, and drawings for review and approval.

  8. Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and construction teams to provide ongoing design support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in VDC plumbing design, preferably for U.S. construction projects.

  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar plumbing design tools.

  • Strong understanding of IPC, UPC, NFPA, and other U.S. plumbing standards.

  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to collaborate with U.S.-based teams.

  • Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and propose solutions.

  • High level of accuracy in drawings, calculations, and documentation.

  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with BIM modeling and clash detection software.

  • Familiarity with construction project management workflows.
