We are seeking a highly skilled Field Sales Engineer to join our team at Axis Communications. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of our business in the territory, focusing on IP audio solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-sales support to customers, including technical guidance and system design.
- Collaborate with Axis Regional Sales Managers to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Design and implement high-level system designs, including site surveys, speaker placement, and area of coverage calculations.
- Construct and perform technology and customer-specific training related to IP audio.
- Represent Axis at industry trade shows and events as needed.
- Act as a backup to other Axis sales engineers as needed.
- Travel up to 35% of the time to support customers and attend industry events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Systems.
- 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role, ideally in the network video and/or physical security markets.
- Axis Certified Professional preferred.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to lift 20-40 lbs.
- Ability to climb and stand on ladders or lifts for an extended period of time.
- Ability to work with heights, ceilings, ladders, rooftops, etc.
