Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Support Engineer to join our team at EPAM Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy network infrastructure spanning LAN/WAN environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  2. Troubleshooting and Support: Handle 3rd level troubleshooting across all LAN/WAN issues, providing top-tier support to ensure system availability and reliability.
  3. Network Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain all network monitoring and reporting systems, generating comprehensive documentation for all deployed systems and changes.
  4. Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks, including time entry and status reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  5. Network Device Management: Install and configure a variety of network devices and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
  6. System Updates and Maintenance: Update systems with new patches, hotfixes, service packs, and security configurations, ensuring optimal system performance and security.
  7. Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance to guarantee system availability and reliability, tracking system resource utilization for capacity planning.
  8. Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with configuration and change management policies, implementing security tools and procedures in collaboration with the security team.
  9. Vendor and IT Partnerships: Partner with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution, ensuring seamless communication and effective issue resolution.
  10. Technical Training: Provide technical trainings to internal teams, ensuring knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  1. Next-Generation Firewall Technologies: Proficiency in next-generation firewall technologies, preferably Cisco Firepower.
  2. SD-WAN Technologies: Background in SD-WAN technologies, Silver Peak preferred.
  3. Network Troubleshooting: Competency in troubleshooting network loops, asymmetric routing, and STP issues.
  4. Cisco ASA and IPS: Capability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, IPS, and ISE.
  5. Wireless Technologies: Familiarity with troubleshooting wireless technologies, Cisco WLC preferred.
  6. Network Protocols: Skills in troubleshooting and configuring EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, and QoS.
  7. Application Protocols: Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and other application protocols.
  8. Network Security: Expertise in network security setups including IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, and 802.1x.
  9. Cisco Switches: Proficiency in managing Cisco Catalyst & Nexus 9K/7K series switches.
  10. Cisco IOS and NX-OS: Skills in configuring Cisco IOS, NX-OS software, and application load balancers.
  11. Firewall Cloud Services: Knowledge of firewall cloud services, Zscaler preferred.
  12. CCNP Certification: CCNP certification required.
  13. Education: BA Degree / B.S. Degree.

  1. Application Experience: Experience working with various applications such as SAP, Citrix, and Portal.
  2. Additional Certifications: Additional certifications in network or security domains are highly advantageous.
