Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations, such as managing accounts, reconciling transactions, and processing invoices. The candidate will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with payroll and audit preparation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online, including income, expenses, and transactions.
  • Accounts Receivable & Payable: Handle invoices, accounts payable, and receivable; manage outstanding payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Data Entry & Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring accurate records.
  • Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure all employee payments are accurate.
  • Tax and Audit Support: Assist with preparing financial documents for tax filings and audits in compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain financial documentation, manage the filing of records, and support the finance team with ad hoc tasks.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, especially for US-based companies.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with AR/AP processes and payroll systems.
  • Experience with financial audits and knowledge of GAAP is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Airtable experience for database management.
  • Experience working remotely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to other accounting tools is a plus.
