About the Job:
The BruntWork Security Camera Monitor Specialist will oversee surveillance systems to protect our stores, facilities, and cannabis inventory. This remote position involves monitoring store operations, ensuring compliance with security procedures, reviewing POS system activity for unauthorized transactions, and addressing suspicious behavior.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Security Camera Monitor Specialist to join our team at BruntWork. Key responsibilities include:
  • Surveillance Monitoring: Continuously monitor surveillance cameras across multiple locations to detect and prevent theft, vandalism, and other suspicious activities.
  • Situational Awareness: Maintain awareness of activities in monitored areas and respond swiftly to security breaches or incidents.

  • Store Opening and Closing Procedures: Supervise opening and closing procedures for stores, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.
  • Confirm Secure Access: Verify that all entry and exit points are secure, with no unauthorized access.

  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents, coordinating with on-site security and law enforcement when needed.
  • Accurate Documentation: Accurately document all incidents and suspicious activities for record-keeping and follow-up.

  • Procedural Compliance: Follow established security protocols to maintain safety and integrity of all facilities.
  • Routine Audits: Perform routine audits of camera footage to ensure compliance with internal security policies.

  • POS System Review: Regularly monitor the POS system to detect unauthorized discounts or transactions.
  • Report Discrepancies: Report any discrepancies or suspicious activities to the relevant department for further investigation.

Requirements: To be successful as a Security Camera Monitor Specialist, you should have:
  • High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or surveillance are a plus.
  • Security Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in security monitoring, surveillance, or a related field.
  • Cannabis Industry Knowledge: Experience with security systems in the cannabis industry and overseeing cannabis inventory is preferred.
  • Observation Skills: Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in operating surveillance camera systems and security software.
  • Familiarity with POS Systems: Familiarity with POS systems and the ability to identify unauthorized transactions.
