This is a remote position for an experienced estimator to join our design and construction company based in the South Coast of NSW, specializing in high-end residential homes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of NSW residential construction practices and regulations.
The role offers a chance to impact project success, drive business growth, and refine our estimating processes for a smooth project lifecycle. As an Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in streamlining estimating processes, improving project efficiency, and enhancing client satisfaction, supporting our goal of scaling high-end residential operations with profitability and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models in Sketchup with Plusspec to visualize design concepts.
- Perform takeoffs and preliminary estimates in ProCalc for early-stage discussions.
- Provide Quick Ballpark Estimates (QBE) post-concept stage for client budgeting.
Success Measures:
- Operational Efficiency: Reduce estimating time by 30% and complete 20 estimates monthly.
- Financial Accuracy: Maintain profit margins within 2% of initial estimates on 90% of projects.
- Client Support and Growth: Generate 15 Quick Ballpark Estimates monthly to support sales.
