Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Finance will play a key role in supporting the Director of Finance in driving financial performance, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and coordinating monthly financial statements. This position will also be responsible for business partnering with the hotel finance team and the Hotel Management team to develop excellent working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a smooth operation of all hotel finance activities in compliance with policy, regulatory, and contractual frameworks.
  • Business partner with hotel finance team members and the Hotel Management team to support the Director of Finance in developing excellent working relationships.
  • In absence of the Director of Finance, assume responsibilities of the department lead.
  • Support the Director of Finance in developing best-in-class hotel Finance teams.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information and create reports, forecasts, and projections.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others.
  • Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
  • Ability to help develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and other team members.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of the company, hotels & owners.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance.
