The Role

You'll be responsible for building new features and improving existing ones that benefit millions of users across our platform. You will work closely with Product, Design, and other team members to solve challenging problems and deliver delightful user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver scalable, highly-responsive performant web applications following our Software Development Life Cycle
  2. Work with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Engineers to understand requirements and translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
  3. Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews
  4. Proactively identify complex issues, take initiative to resolve first, and triage and escalate effectively within the broader team
  5. Own assigned projects from beginning to end to be delivered on-time and bug free with minimal support
  6. Assist in mentoring junior team members as needed
  7. Participate in on-call rotation
  8. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of professional software development experience
  2. Experience breaking down complex projects into smaller, manageable tasks
  3. Fluency with at least one programming language; Python, Golang, NodeJS, or Typescript preferred
  4. Experience using databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis or MongoDB
  5. Experience working with NextJS and ReactJS in a production environment
  6. Experience writing tests using frameworks such as Playwright
  7. Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes or AWS Lambda
  8. Experience using AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, MSK etc.
  9. Experience building production APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger
  10. Experience using CICD tools to build and deploy apps in production environments
  11. Understanding of microservices architecture and micro-frontends
  12. Understanding of secure development practices
  13. Organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to balance numerous projects while meeting tight deadlines
  14. Attention to detail
  15. Effective interpersonal skills, particularly in building relationships and working collaboratively across Engineering and Product teams
  16. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  17. Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills (grammar & syntax)
