About the Role

Mace is a leading global consultancy and construction company that is redefining the boundaries of ambition. We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Director to join our team and lead the delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and ensuring that their projects are delivered to meet their requirements.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and other professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the success of the team.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Commercial Management: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and that commercial risks are mitigated.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all projects are delivered to the required quality and safety standards, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and other stakeholders, to ensure that their needs and expectations are met, and that they are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Strong commercial and financial skills, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field, such as a degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
