As a Collections Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in executing the collection process and implementing actions to ensure smooth operations. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of required documentation for invoices and fuel advance purchases.
  • Prioritizing cash advances, meeting maximum disbursement times established in our value proposition, and selecting applicable terms and conditions including rates, payer, amount, load number, and payment method.
  • Timely processing invoices while adhering to established cutoff times for audit and verification.
  • Communicating with clients and payers to request additional documentation and clarifications, and informing relevant parties.
  • Preventing economic losses by forwarding pertinent information to the Account Executive.
  • Maintaining updated contact information in FactorSoft for clients and payers, recording and managing notes and alerts efficiently for portfolio management.
  • Submitting monitoring/control reports according to specified structures and frequencies.
  • Recording outcomes in relevant applications through notes or specified options.
  • Providing accounting support to identify discrepancies in payments or non-directly processable origins.
  • Initiating contact with payers from the 10th day after invoice purchase to ensure payment before the 45th day.
  • Addressing and communicating discrepancies or document shortages to Account Executives.
  • Achieving company-set aging indicator goals, aligning with the period from invoice purchase to payment collection.
  • Reporting cargo claims, adhering to specific procedures for each case to facilitate invoice payment.
  • Executing internal and third-party actions upon payer confirmation of a non-payment order for an invoice.

Requirements:
  • Education: High School Degree is mandatory; studies in International Business, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or related fields are also required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in collections with expertise in credit, portfolio, and/or operations.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in office tools, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Language: Advanced English skills (B2+).

Benefits:
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., following the American Calendar.
  • One shift on a weekday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every month and one Saturday every 1.5 months from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Indefinite term contract + Benefits.
  • Location: Only Bogotá or Cali, remote position.
  • Salary: $4,500,000 COP after 6 months $5,000,000 COP.
