The Customer Program Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational strategy and translating customer commitments into actionable execution across Ocean and Logistics. This role is responsible for implementing new and additional business with customers, leveraging awareness of the customer's supply chain to drive improvements and efficiencies that create value for both the customer and Maersk.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of the customer's supply chain strategy and needs.
- Collaborate with the Customer Program Development team to provide input to the joint strategic roadmap.
- Identify and implement efficiency and optimization initiatives to increase profitability and reduce cost to serve.
- Create a Maersk community around the account and foster awareness of the customer's needs.
- Uncover customer pain points and supply chain challenges, defining initiatives to address and eliminate them.
- Monitor service delivery performance within assigned scope and provide oversight to the Customer Program Development team.
- Resolve operational escalations and engage with third-party partners, suppliers, and vendors.
- Support the implementation of new and additional business.
- Ensure effective management of FINSOP and relevant financial measures.
- Ensure access to correct rates, information, and contacts for third-party suppliers and partners.
- A proactive and decisive individual with a high sense of urgency.
- Someone with confidence in dealing with people and building relationships.
- Able to focus on defining a vision, objectives, and priorities.
- Capable of seeing and acting on both the big picture and daily operational issues.
- Able to give constructive feedback and challenge where appropriate.
- Effective in managing stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
- Familiarity with Maersk's operational structure and functionality.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and metric-driven approaches.
