**Job overview**

The purpose of this role is to co-facilitate and support the implementation of partnerships policies and ambitions within the Strategy100 and the Strategic Action Plan (SAP IP) in collaboration with the Senior Management Team (SMT) in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.

The Partnership Coordinator will lead a team of 7 members divided in four countries Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru. He/ she will directly supervise 3 staff members.

**Main responsibilities**

**Strategy and Program Approach**
- Lead stakeholder analysis processes and guide decision-making for successful engagements with local civil society, government, and private sector actors.
- Structure and manage the country-level Partnership Working Group (PWG), including referral of issues to SMT as appropriate.

**Promote Effective Partnerships**
- Monitor and analyze IRC's performance, promoting and modeling effective partnership approaches and making recommendations to the SMT related to the partnership strategy.
- Train key country office and partner staff on partnership processes.
- Facilitate systematic partner feedback on IRC's partnership relationship management, including the documentation of and response to partner feedback.
- Work with technical coordinators and the Deputy Director of Programs (DDP) to ensure that program design and Go/ No Go decisions are consistent with the partnership strategy.

**Partnership Management**
- Lead the partnership portfolio in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, ensuring well-planned, timely, and coherent partner project management.
- Guide competitive partner selection processes, and ensure quality in the Due diligence processes, including Partner Identity and Background Review (Vetting) and Partner Capacity Analysis (PCA).
- Determine appropriate partnership agreement type considering risk analyses, project and donor compliance requirements, and obtaining internal and external approvals, as necessary.
- Engage partners in program design efforts, including proposal content, budget resourcing, and visibility efforts aligned to IRCs requirements.
- Liaise with finance to achieve timely funds transfers and proper financial follow-up (funds distribution, payments, disallowed costs, forecasting, spending plans) and partner support.
- In coordination with relevant stakeholders, lead partner program, finance, compliance, and monitoring meetings to address project performance issues.

**Partner Support and Capacity Sharing**
- Lead the development and delivery of the partner project support plan, ensuring it addresses issues identified in the due diligence process, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement it.
- Ensure all sub-awards are recorded on IRC’s archiving and knowledge management system.
- Compile and disseminate partnerships´ lessons learned to improve processes and strategy.
- Provide strategic updates in periodic Grants Calls with the Grants and the regional (RPAS) office.

**Qualifications**

**Job requirements**

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Social Science, Project Management, Organizational Development or related field. A Master's degree is a high-value asset.

**Experience and skills requiered**
- Minimum 5 years of relevant program and grant/sub-grant management experience in the humanitarian and international development sector.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with non-governmental organizations, government actors, and the private sector. Experience working in consortia is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing institutional development strategies for national and/or international non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in financial management and working with budgets
- Prior knowledge of donors and understanding of partnership implementation and management of different donor compliance requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to adapt language and tone to different audiences and needs are required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, sound judgment, relationships management and leadership.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, meet demanding deadlines, and work under pressure.
