**ASSISTANT SILO MANAGER**
**SEVERAL SILOS
**Purpose of the position**:
The incumbent will be co-responsible for the management of the relevant silo.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Managing the intake and dispatch of all grain, which could include the drying of
grain;- Stock control of operating stock and equipment;
- Managing, controlling and training of personnel;
- Managing and controlling storage facilities, which includes the optimal utilisation
thereof;- Thorough control of administrative functions;
- Operating a computerised mainframe administrative system; and
- Execution of instructions and policies regarding the following:
- Occupational safety
- Risk management
- Internal control systems; and
- Client satisfaction.
**Required qualifications and skills**:
- Grade 12 certificate****:
- Five (5) years’ relevant experience****:
- Maize, wheat and sunflower grading***
- Silo management****:
- Fumigation
- A valid driver's license.***
- Detail-oriented.****:
- Responsible and reliable.****:
- Ability to take initiative and lead a team effectively.
