**Job Summary**
The Security Supervisor addresses security and quality of services that impact UPS and its customers. Develops, monitors and audits security policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment and contribute to protect UPS facilities, property and employees, conducts investigations, and ensures UPS compliance with local and international authorities’ regulations. The individual is accountable for increasing all UPS employees’ and vendor employees’ Security Awareness. Other responsibilities include identifying and mitigating risks, managing security vendors and assuring that planning, implementing and maintaining security related technology and equipment is done and remains cost effective, designing new locations’ Security Solutions and/or redesigning existing locations. He/she may also supervise others.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
**Analyzes and Audits Security Conditions**
- Completes annual risk assessments for facility (COMEL).
- Analyzes official statistical information (Government -Authorities) regarding the geographical location of the UPS site and its surroundings.
- Analyzes internal UPS information regarding assets, recruiting processes, business continuity, etc.
- Discusses conclusions with the security vendor and documents their recommendations based on the assessment’s conclusions.
- Puts together a working schedule to be reviewed every quarter for mitigating risk factors.
- Completes a semi-annual self-assessment for facility (Office Location Security Audit).
- Attends Annual Global Security and FSQL Audits (Compliance).
- Based on the conclusions creates and executes a Corrective Action Plan to prevent reoccurrence.
- Reviews service failure reports to identify procedural breakdowns and employee dishonesty incidents.
- Daily / Weekly inspects physical assets (e.g., buildings, vehicles, etc.) to identify potential security issues.
- Daily / Weekly observes the workforce to ensure compliance with company processes and procedures.
- Identifies causes of procedural and employee integrity issues to determine appropriate responses.
**Develops, Implements, a**nd Enforces Security Policies, **Procedures and Systems**
- Creates training and information materials to educate the workforce on a weekly basis about security and loss prevention practices and issues.
- Broadcasts security related material to all personnel as knowledge refreshers every other week.
- Checks the workforce security knowledge once a month.
- Audits and updates existing procedures and post orders to ensure compliance with company directives and current local situations.
- Discusses and implement security technological solutions based on the facility’s analysis.
- Oversees equipment purchase and installation agreements, follows installation progress, and enforces warranties.
- Develops QA Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly lists for security equipment.
- Manages equipment Preventative and corrective maintenance and all related agreements and costs (Monthly / Yearly).
**Responds to Customer**s about **Security **matters**
- Manages Security systems for 800+ employees-daily support
- Attends as main security contact for incidents.
- Supports Biosecurity and other Continuity related protocols development (when needed)
- Consults with UPS departments about security and procedural issues to determine appropriate resolutions.
- Attends department meetings to update management on security and quality of service issues.
**Manages Security Vendor/Supplier**
- Finalizes terms of contracts (Annually).
- Reviews and approves services invoices.
- Analyzes the needs for additional services -conducts related bids-reviews quotes.
- Hold Weekly/ Monthly Performance Meetings with Security Vendors in order to: establish working relationships, set expectations, evaluate vendors to ensure products and services meet expectations, analyze vendor responses and develop recommendations based on those.
**Required **Qualifications, Training, **& **Skills**
The Security Supervisor establishes, communicates, and enforces the facility’s security standards by implementing creative yet strict solutions to achieve a sound level of security for the UPS facility, assets and human resource while receiving and giving support from/to other areas. This position requires self-motivated, strict and kind individuals, and the ability to build strong relations amongst other management peers.
