**Your mission**:
Within The Workshop, MSP is a highly private, managed services and data centre hosting facility. We offer an array of different products and services including cloud, co-location, managed security and many other ‘as a’ services. Our business is made up of diverse, highly skilled people who enable our customers and their businesses by matching the right solutions to their technology needs.

Since we have acquired a new Data Center in the in the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) “_Zona Franca_” in Tocancipá, and we’re looking for an Operations Manager who will play a key role in the design and implementation of policies in order to maintain the legal certification needed to operate within that area.

Reporting to the Data Center Manager, this position is in charge of coordinating the different stages of the project to build and make fully operational our facilities, and also verify their execution according to the FTZ regulations.

**What you'll do**
- Act as a point of contact between the business and the local administration of the TFC.
- Audit, collect and present all the requirements in order to validate our presence within the TFC
- Provide guidance to the Data Center Manager and leadership regarding legal and financial aspects of operating in the TFC
- Liaise with external vendors and partners, and also internal stakeholders (workplace, IT support) to facilitate the purchasing, shipment and delivery of equipment into the Data Center.
- Collaborate with other areas of the business (ie. Finance, Workplace) in order to adapt the internal processes according to the TFC
- Assist with hiring and onboarding of new employees.
- Work with various internal teams to plan and understand milestones and dependencies across a number of concurrent projects.
- Help assure a regular cadence of releases for internal clients.
- Unite cross-functional teams so that everyone is on the same page, facilitating collaboration and encouraging effective communication and horizontal teamwork towards a common goal.
- Capture and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies in an organized and coherent manner.

**What you'll bring**
- Proven experience with managing operations within the _Zona Franca (Free Trade Zone) _of Tocancipá
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Previous technical background in IT infrastructure is desired
- Proactivity, with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams at the same time.
- Organizational skills, being able to coordinate legal, financial and logistics aspects involved in the set-up and maintenance of a Data Center.
- Understanding of local and national labour and taxation law framework
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Credible and persuasive, with collaborative and influencing skills. Highly organized and good at getting things done in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment.
- Proven ability to proactively manage time effectively when handling multiple simultaneous projects, to switch context and be adaptable to change.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently and in a matrix team environment.
