Position Summary

- Energizer is seeking an experienced and motivated Jr. Counsel, Global Commercial Operations, who will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters facing a consumer products company, globally. This role will report to the Counsel, Global Commercial Operations, based in Bogota, Colombia.
- Jr. Counsel will interact with and provide support to the Global Commercial teams and will be expected to become a partner of the business and weave legal strategies and advice into all aspects of engagement. This is a strong growth opportunity for a dynamic lawyer looking to join a fast-paced and dynamic team.

- Specific Accountabilities
- This role will primarily support the Global Commercial organization. This position is expected to be a partner to the business and to contribute to the success of the Company by combining both legal and business expertise to understand Energizer’s operations and strategic goals.
- This attorney will be expected to work effectively across internal legal and non-legal functions. Specific responsibilities include:

- Provide legal support to Energizer’s global Commercial organization
- Structure, draft, negotiate and review various complex commercial contracts
- Advise on various day-to-day matters facing a global commercial team
- Occasionally coordinate with and manage outside counsel
- Respond to a wide range of legal inquiries from internal stakeholders, focusing on understanding their needs, providing practical solutions and effectively managing risk
- Willingness and interest in handling various legal matters, even if they fall outside day-to-day responsibilities

What we are looking for

Required Skills and Experience
- Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited institution
- Member in good standing of at least one bar
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience with focus on commercial law (including experience advising on various go to market strategies, such as retail, agency, and distribution)
- Experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and business issues
- Experience advising global clients
- Proactive and strategic thinker
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to make solid judgment calls under pressure
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a matrix management structure
- Ability to build positive relationships with management and other members of the business and to positively influence outcomes
