General Manager Colombia & Peru.

Location: Bogota, Colombia

The General Manager for Colombia & Peru is accountable for the overall success of the market, driving the company’s strategy in Colombia & Peru through driving business performance, winning in Immuno-oncology, diversifying for long-term growth with successful new launches, and evolving culture while executing people strategy and to ensure speed to the patients.

Position Summary
- To drive company’s strategy in Colombia & Peru through driving business performance, winning in Immuno-oncology, diversifying for long-term growth with successful new launches and evolving culture and executing people strategy and to ensure speed to the patients
- To provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the commercial activities of the business
- To drive continued growth in line with the strategic plan and market access
- To maximize profitability by managing all aspects of the business, and new launches to the market
- To be highly visible and responsible for external affairs in an increasingly complex environment
- To provide inspirational leadership to build a high performing and engaged organization
- To ensure business objectives are achieved with high level of integrity and compliance
- To be accountable for alliance management to achieve business results
- To identify business opportunities and risks and setting overall direction to meet the needs of the company, patients and families, healthcare professionals, and payers.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing & Business Planning:_
- Assumes full P&L responsibility for Colombia & Peru.
- Grow a portfolio of products at various stages within product life cycle, including launch experience in a market or region.
- Achieve Sales and BUC results for the market
- Designing and implementing new innovative business models and access solutions
- Oversees the full suite of commercial functions including market access, marketing and sales and provides leadership for medical, finance, HR and IT functions
- Maps the landscape and adapt the strategy to maximize all opportunities for growth
- Leads the development and execution of customer focused strategy that drives innovation and generate superior short-term and long-term performance through effective resource allocation.
- Leadership & Compliance:_
- Demonstrates business ethics and judgment to enforce internal controls to comply with the company’s policies and procedures and relentlessly maintains and develops a compelling culture of compliance.
- Builds and develops a strong team with a cohesive culture that reflects on mission and commitment of BMS
- Role models the BMS behaviors
- Builds and manages a high-performance team with focus on operational excellence and a continuous improvement to overcome challenges
- Fosters culture of diversity and inclusion and encourages collaboration across departments to generate synergies and achieve shared goals
- Seizes opportunities to enhance the organization’s EVP (employee value proposition) & public image and serve as an executive and representative of BMS.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Matrix Alignment:_
- Actively contributes to shaping the environment and building key relationships in relevant areas.
- Shapes and builds strong market access capabilities
- Builds and manages relationships with internal stakeholders in LATAM and Global commercial and matrix teams
- Leadership responsibility for the management of all external affairs

Qualifications & Experience
- College degree, MBA desired.
- 10+ years of commercial experience.
- Successful sales & marketing track record for a significant business and/or geography.
- Successful country manager track record preferred.
- Holistic experience within the healthcare industry, with functional expertise across commercial and non-commercial roles.
- Successful track record of managing a team with P&L responsibilities, demonstrating tangible and significant business impact
- Ability to set and implement the strategy related to managing a successful business
- Achievement to have a strong impact on the environment internally and externally (industrial association active membership, government affairs experience etc.)
- Excellent leadership skills; with a strong ability to build, motivate and develop a strongly competent and diverse team
