Rappi is creating a platform to power ecommerce across Latin America. We are looking for a leader to accelerate and deepen our understanding of our ecosystem, audiences and verticals. This leader will develop Rappi’s analytics capabilities to enable experimentation, learning and scaling of opportunities that will make a lasting and positive contribution to the vision of building the highest retention business in Latin America.

In addition to partnering with the finance and operations teams, the role will work closely with the Risk, Growth, Business Development, Life Cycle Management and Fraud areas.

Como parte de Rappi, serás responsable de:
- Building analytics capabilities that transform the business: Lead a team that creates analytics capabilities that span our business systems. This team will work hand in hand with the rest of the organization to develop insights for our business operators, product and technical teams. This includes standing-up sources of truth across our vertical and audiences, building financial reporting capabilities to inform business decisions and providing key insights into the performance of our marketplace.- Elevating data as a competitive advantage: This Leader will personally help solve unique business problems by partnering closely with cross-functional leaders and asking fundamental questions about the business that are unique to each of our verticals and audiences. This includes building technology to uncover relationships between various input variables that drive the business, analyze competitive dynamics across assortment, affordability and quality and inform our business decisions along the way.- Being a trusted business partner: The business analytics leader will be influential in informing our strategy across the various markets that Rappi operates in. This leader will be expected to build a deep understanding of each market by staying close to our leadership team and partnering with them on mission critical projects. This includes having a deep understanding of external and internal factors that may impact traffic, conversion, retention and frequency of use.- Being excellent at partnering with product and technical teams: Rappi has a world-class product organization and this leader will have the opportunity to tap into our data capabilities to build the next-gen technology solutions to solve problems.- Having Customer-obsession: Understanding why customers come to Rappi and understanding their everyday needs will serve this leader in contributing towards the company objective of building the highest retention platform in Latam.- A degree / background in data management, economics, business analytics or product management- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, consulting, or related quantitative role- Prior experience in marketplace, technology or retail preferred but not required- Expertise with statistical packages querying and database languages is preferred but not required (SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis, experimentation, regressions)- Prior experience with statistical packages, such as Matlab, R, SAS or Python is preferred but not required- Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Chartio, Tableau)- The insight to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
