What we’re working on at Slang

Slang started at MIT as a research project on using AI and NLP to make learning a new language as efficient as possible. Our technology powers a highly adaptive e-learning platform that offers an unprecedented variety of specialized English courses and proficiency tests for career development in over one hundred fields like Sales, Finance, Logistics, Medicine, and Law. With just a small team, we’ve already created the largest professional English offering in the world. Now, we’re scaling up to release 1,000 more courses over the next three years.

What this role is about

As an HR Operations Analyst, you will be in charge of supporting the entire employee lifecycle, from admission processes to benefits and payroll administration. You’ll assist the HR team in various day-to-day tasks, with a heavy focus on Payroll processes and management, also you would be involved in developing effective strategies to manage providers and logistics, managing occupational safety and health-related issues, keeping an inventory, and supervising and assuring the complete and meticulous organization of HR-related files and records. Additionally, you will help organize HR events, support all internal and external HR-related inquiries, and assist the team with process standardization, policy design, and market research on regulations, providers, compensation, benefits, and others as required.

**Education, knowledge and skills required**:

- Degree in Administration, Accounting, or any other related field.
- Experience working and managing payroll.
- Great attention to detail
- Interest or knowledge in personnel administration, and human resources operations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Goal-oriented
- Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Analytical skills
- Think outside the box
- Intermediate or higher level of Excel
- Intermediate or higher level of English
