Role Purpose


Looking to make a meaningful impact on cultural exchange and education in the Americas? Join us as our new Americas Project Officer As a crucial member of our programme team, you will help implement a range of regional and country initiatives under our global programmes.

Working closely with our Education and English Programmes lead, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering our exciting Americas online Policy Dialogue Series, a key priority for our organization.


But that's not all You will also collaborate with our Cultural Engagement Business Director and Operations Lead to ensure economies of scale across our programmes, including joint procurement and programming.

And with your exceptional financial admin skills, reporting expertise, and talent for data collection, you'll help streamline our compliance reporting and processes, making a tangible impact on our organization's continued success.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following

  • Holds vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services.
  • Has the ability to work independently and manage work load against project deadlines.
  • Plan and report on project financial plans and budget expenditure and forecasting to Programme Managers and Head of Programme Delivery; manages smaller budgets.
  • Maintain clear and uptodate records on all financial transactions as per audit requirements.
  • Ensure relationships with vendors are maintained and payments are processed on time and in accordance with FABS online system (SAP Finance) guidelines.
  • Compliance to BC financial policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for data management including timely data entry, quality assurance of data, undertaking basic analysis of monitoring data, and developing progress reports to meet needs of funders.
  • Supports internal compliance such as due diligence, records management, data collection and storage.
  • Manages grants administration, selection & evaluation,and procurement processes.
  • Manages eventsbased components and trainings within a programme.
  • Supports the project / programme manager in implementing diversity mainstreaming action plans and contributes to it.
  • Manages relationships with clients/partners/stakeholders at appropriate level.
  • Manages relationship with vendors and suppliers and holds them to account for delivering services.

Requirements of the role

  • Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or projects.
  • Administrative and financial administration experience.
  • Good understanding of basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation, and how they are central to good project management.
  • C1 Spanish and B2 English or equivalent
