What the role involves

  • This position will lead the planning and development of market commercial strategies, marketing plans, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team. Develop market-level relationships with key stakeholders and partners to enhance performance and partnership opportunities. Ensure tools and initiatives are effectively utilized by hotel teams, create champions, and conduct business reviews and communication.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Commercial, Revenue Leads, General Managers, and Hotel teams to enhance business performance and formulate country commercial strategies. Work with the VP of Commercial on developing and implementing medium to long-term market plans and priorities.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing & Brand to devise and execute a marketing plan for the country, including partnerships and PR initiatives.
  • Engage with all Regional Sales, Account Directors, and Regional Sales teams on key account strategies, RFPs, MICE, Leisure, TPI accounts, and pursuing new business for hotels.
  • Establish robust market-level relationships with key stakeholders, government entities, and commercial partners. Utilize these relationships to bolster brand awareness and performance in the market.
  • Support the Distribution agenda in the market by driving Rate parity, OTA content scores, and ensuring effective communication and implementation of functional updates for the country.
  • Support the introduction and integration of new and existing tools for the hotel community.
  • Ensure hotels have Champions designated for all Selina Programs & Tools and encourage regional and international cross-selling.
  • Coordinate and provide feedback within assigned hotels on market intelligence and competitors' sales/promotion efforts.

Requirements for the role

  • Degree in Sales, Hospitality, or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in English and the local language.
  • Demonstrated track record in driving performance across multiple units and markets, or substantial Commercial, Brand, and Marketing expertise.
  • Technical Skills and Knowledge.
  • Effective stakeholder management with the ability to influence peers and management.
  • Strong leadership in team/culture, team development, and succession planning.
  • Core Commercial Skills – Sales, Marketing, PR, Channels, and Revenue Management.
