ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior ROKU Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the enhancement and growth of our streaming platform.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers to ensure the seamless integration of features and improvements.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
(aka Responsibilities)
- Daily participation in the development and maintenance of the ROKU channel for the VIX streaming platform, ensuring stability, responsiveness, and a visually appealing user interface.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement engaging and intuitive user interfaces on the ROKU platform.
- Collaborate with backend services developers to integrate frontend components with serverside logic, ensuring smooth data flow and efficient communication.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues to maintain the overall quality of the streaming experience.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to promote a collaborative and learningoriented development environment.
- Contribute to the architectural decisions of the ROKU channel, ensuring scalability and maintainability as the platform grows.
- Collaborate with the QA team to implement and execute test plans, ensuring the reliability and stability of the ROKU channel.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by users, delivering prompt solutions to maintain user satisfaction.
YOU HAVE:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in BrightScript and SceneGraph development for ROKU channels.
- Solid understanding of video streaming protocols, codecs, and adaptive streaming technologies.
- Experience with AVOD and SVOD models is highly desirable.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a crossfunctional team.
- Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus.
- A passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to streaming and digital media.
- Fluency in Spanish is a major plus.
