About FTI Strategic Communications
Strategic Communications is one of the five segments of FTI Consulting.

We anticipate and work in a strategic way to help our clients build, strengthen and restructure certain key relationships with their stakeholders and respond to critical issues, mitigating reputational, regulatory and operational risks, among others.

Our team is composed of experts in diverse industries like energy, healthcare and finance, and disciplines in the communications area such as corporate, crisis, financial communications, and government relations.


What You Will Do


We are currently looking for a dynamic, communicative, well-informed and ambitious individual to join the Strategic Communications team at FTI Consulting in Bogota as an intern.

Its main attributions will be to support the other team members 1) in carrying out the consulting work for clients and 2) in the efforts to prospect new clients.

In this role, the intern will need to become familiar with the clients' goals and challenges and then help the team develop and implement external and internal communication strategies.

The intern must be up-to-date with news events in general and on topics of relevance to FTI and its (potential) clients.

Previous experience is not a requirement, but it could be an element of differentiation.

Non-Exhaustive List of Tasks

  • Conduct research on relevant companies, sectors and topics;
  • Prepare daily press and social media monitoring reports;
  • Research target media outlets for customers and develop and update media outlet lists;
  • Assist with research and analysis related to regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to the creation of white papers, thought leadership pieces, political analysis papers, and other analytical products.
  • Provide administrative support on accounts, including organizing tele/video conferences and meetings, coordinating event logistics, request quotes for services and products, etc.

Requirements:

  • Be a university student, in your last year or recently graduated, preferably in Journalism, PR, International Relations, Political Science, Law or Business Administration;
  • Fluent level of English;
  • Familiarity with social networks and programs such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
