What You'll Do
As an Office Manager, you will be part of a quickly growing office in Medellin Colombia, collaborating in the building up of all our office needs and working closely with our HR and Technical Managers.
You will focus on a variety of administration duties, including taking care of the smooth functioning of the office, communicating with suppliers, welcoming, checking in and hosting Blankfactor's guests.
In addition, you will be responsible for processing and storing documents, organizing business trips and payments, communicating with vendors and with the office building.
It is possible to be involved in some of the HR or accounting processes, as you will play a central role of the overall experience of our employees, especially the physical workplace, technology, and policies that shape Blankfactor's culture in the Medellin office.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Skills: A strong background in office administration is crucial. This includes proficiency in organizing and coordinating daytoday office operations, Implementing and enforcing office policies and procedures, managing schedules, maintaining records, handling correspondence, and overseeing maintenance, supplies, and equipment.
- Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with Colombian culture and business practices is important. Understanding the local customs, norms, and etiquette will help establish strong relationships with employees and stakeholders. Adaptability and respect for diversity are essential traits.
- Human Resources Knowledge: As an office manager, you may be responsible for various HR functions, such as employee onboarding, maintaining personnel records, managing benefits, and overseeing performance evaluations. Understanding Colombian labor laws and regulations is crucial for compliance.

Solving Skills:
The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively is essential.
Office managers should be adept at resolving conflicts, handling unexpected situations, and finding solutions to various challenges that may arise in a dynamic work environment.- Financial Acumen: Familiarity with basic financial principles, such as budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting, is advantageous.
Depending on the organization, an office manager may be involved in managing petty cash, coordinating financial records, or liaising with the accounting department.
