About the Role
Provides first call response for solutions pricing and quoting of customer requests within assigned territory or is responsible for relationship-based transactions in support of a larger group with more complex solutions. Accountable for opportunity forecasting and pipeline management for the assigned territory customers.
What You'll Do
- Provides initial response focusing on pricing and quoting customer solutions.
- Engages with the customer to understand the scope of the solution request.
- Utilizes knowledge and tools to configure, price, quote, and process requests for hardware, software, and services.
- Delivers initial solutions to customers, providing lead time and delivery information.
- Offers information to assist customers in making decisions about products and services.
- Adheres to customer program requirements based on contract terms.
- Supplies final adjusted pricing based on programs and promotions.
- Resolves or escalates pre-sales issues using internal resources.
- Follows up on opportunities and monitors pipeline activity.
- Contributes to forecast consolidations and participates in planning for customers.
- Implements actions to address budget gaps.
- Maintains customer information in internal systems.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated working knowledge of product, pricing, customer service, and sales strategy.
- Understanding of configuration solutions design and quoting systems.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and knowledge of the distribution industry.
Work Experience
- One year of experience in a sales or customer service role.
Education and Certification(s)
- Bachelor's Degree in business, IT, or related field.
- Product/supplier certifications as needed.
