About the Role

Provides first call response for solutions pricing and quoting of customer requests within assigned territory or is responsible for relationship-based transactions in support of a larger group with more complex solutions. Accountable for opportunity forecasting and pipeline management for the assigned territory customers.

What You'll Do

  • Provides initial response focusing on pricing and quoting customer solutions.
  • Engages with the customer to understand the scope of the solution request.
  • Utilizes knowledge and tools to configure, price, quote, and process requests for hardware, software, and services.
  • Delivers initial solutions to customers, providing lead time and delivery information.
  • Offers information to assist customers in making decisions about products and services.
  • Adheres to customer program requirements based on contract terms.
  • Supplies final adjusted pricing based on programs and promotions.
  • Resolves or escalates pre-sales issues using internal resources.
  • Follows up on opportunities and monitors pipeline activity.
  • Contributes to forecast consolidations and participates in planning for customers.
  • Implements actions to address budget gaps.
  • Maintains customer information in internal systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of product, pricing, customer service, and sales strategy.
  • Understanding of configuration solutions design and quoting systems.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and knowledge of the distribution industry.

Work Experience

  • One year of experience in a sales or customer service role.

Education and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, IT, or related field.
  • Product/supplier certifications as needed.
