In P&C (People & Culture - our HR function), we have a huge part to play, defining and shaping our new customer focused culture, organizing functions to work more effectively together, and attracting the best talent with new types of skills to join us.

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Bogotá or Medellín.

On this role you will support with the pre-arrival, arrival and post arrival of key stakeholders that plays an important role in our company.


Your 'day to day':

  • Cooperate with payroll providers and PMI payroll hub to ensure that payroll is accurately and timely calculated.
  • Execute local payroll process such as: social security enrollments, conciliation with social security entities, reporting to PMI's internal or external entities (withholding tax, man hour, SENA), address ex-employees legal petitions, management for actuarial calculations, third party payments, pensioners validations, electronic payroll reports, among others.
  • Address payroll concerns received from P&C Managers, Line Managers and employees, ex-employees, and pensioners to ensure proper and timely resolution.
  • Support annual cycles and activities driven by global teams.
  • Support to the SSC on employee's termination process, ensuring the correct calculation and timely payment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Education: University degree
Work Experience: 3-4 years in payroll

  • English B2

Functional Skills:

  • Attention to detail, data driven and tech savvy; excellent people skills; ability to effectively prioritize with timely results. Focused on continuous improvement, problem solving, results oriented and drives efficiency.
  • Proficiency with SAP an asset.
  • Microsoft Excel super user (VLOOKUP, pivots, databases)
  • Extensive HR systems reporting, HR process, and project management experience required.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and timemanagement skills.
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Possess a positive, serviceoriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues. Foresees potential challenges and comes prepared with solutions to solve variety of problems.
