Your New Role at a Glance

Be part of our client’s team as an Accounting Staff member, where you’ll manage travel and expense processes, support accounts payable, and assist with month-end closing. You'll also coordinate with international subsidiaries and handle ad hoc tasks, ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations in a dynamic, global environment.


Employment Type: Indefinite term contract
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST
Work Setup: Onsite, Bogotá


Your Daily Accounting Playbook

Travel and Expense (T&E) Process Support:

  • Assist with system access, card requests, and deactivations as needed.
  • Validate receipts and transaction descriptions for reimbursement requests or credit card charges.
  • Follow up with employees regarding insufficient documentation.
  • Update Divvy (T&E platform) or TravelPerk with new accounting analytics.
  • Route out-of-policy travel for approval.
  • Answer employee questions about travel or expense reimbursement policies.
  • Manage workflows within our T&E platforms.

Accounts Payable Support:

  • Prepare related journal entries on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with accounts payable reconciliations as needed.

Month-End Closing:

  • Support month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation and reconciliations.

International Coordination:

  • Coordinate with international subsidiaries to gather and provide necessary travel documentation.

Ad Hoc Tasks:

  • Perform additional tasks to support the accounting department as needed.

Educational Background:

  • Degree in Accounting or related field.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
  • Proficiency with T&E platforms such as Divvy or TravelPerk.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and international subsidiaries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
