As a Storage Platform Administrator your responsibilities will be:

  • Manage storage environments (DISK, SAN, NAS, VTS, and tape libraries), including monitoring, maintenance, and support.
  • Provide support to applications, developers, and system administrators to optimize storage usage.
  • Execute restore processes (full server, dissimilar environments, customized restores) and assist junior staff.
  • Perform capacity planning and forecasting for storage growth, defining resource allocation and service tiers.
  • Coordinate communication with vendors for upgrades, replacements, and technical support.
  • Install, implement, and administer backup and recovery solutions, as well as new storage infrastructure components.

In addition, you can make a difference if you meet:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Engineering or Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years in IT with 3 years in backup solutions (design, configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Experience working with Windows and Unix/Linux administration and systems configuration.
  • Knowledge in Backup tools: NetBackup, Azure Backup, Veeam, Avamar (desired).
  • Knowledge of storage best practices, data retention policies, and recovery strategies.
  • Experience with VMware, infrastructure administration, and IT projects (plus).
  • Oracle Database knowledge (desired).
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (oral and written).
  • Process documentation and teamwork skills.
