As an Application Manager you will manage the implementation of the technical applications strategy, and support knowledge sharing across all areas to drive organizational effectiveness, in alignment with business goals and within the established budget.

You will report to the Commercial Head for Ancam T&W division, and will be based in Bogota, working four days onsite and one from home a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the performance of a group of segments, and country technical team to execute technical objectives that meet or exceed targets.
• Act as the main technical contact for selected key accounts to build client relationships and ensure effective project execution at all levels, including leading customer visits and product presentations when required.
• Serve as a technical expert and advisor to Marketing, Sales, Flavor Creation, Applications, Sensory, and customers for multiple applications and developments.
• Provide direction from a local applications perspective for the development of strategic (S+T) initiatives.
• Act as a local champion for new technologies, continuously fostering innovation and adoption.
• Manage laboratory team needs within the capital budget to enhance the capability to execute technical projects within the Segment Group, and Country Technical Team.
• Proactively promote and build a diverse and inclusive environment, leveraging different skills, thinking styles, and approaches.
• Coordinate resources within application laboratories to ensure successful execution of lab activities.
• Schedule and lead project meetings for resource allocation and project tracking to ensure alignment with Givaudan's strategies and policies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to account executives in project development to increase the likelihood of successful sales outcomes.

You - Your professional profile includes:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in a food applications laboratory, flavor laboratory, production, or related area.
• Fluent English.
• Proven project management skills with a consistent record of building broad relationships across functions within Givaudan and with key accounts.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers, provide technical solutions, and engage the appropriate Givaudan technical teams when necessary.
• Experience in supervising and managing all levels of technical teams, providing regular coaching for skill development.
• Capability to prepare and deliver a wide range of innovative technical presentations internally and to customers.
• Solid understanding of ingredients used in formulations and their functions.
