About The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Senior Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Analyst
to support U.S. commercial real estate clients by building, reviewing, and delivering investor-ready financial models and valuations.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel-based modeling skills and hands-on experience underwriting real estate transactions in brokerage, investment, or lending environments. You will work closely with internal leadership and client-facing teams to deliver accurate, high-quality underwriting outputs that directly impact pricing, deal strategy, and capital decisions.

While this role is primarily analytical, you will also collaborate with product and presentation teams to ensure underwriting outputs are integrated into client-facing materials and platform-ready formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, review, and maintain Excel-based financial models for commercial real estate assets, including stabilized and value-add scenarios.
  • Perform full underwriting analyses including cash flow projections, IRR, equity multiple, sensitivity analysis, and exit modeling.
  • Analyze rent rolls, T-12s, operating statements, and market data to support pricing and valuation decisions.
  • Develop valuations using income approach, sales comparables, and relevant market assumptions.
  • Translate underwriting outputs into client-facing deliverables and platform-ready formats in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Leverage internal tools and AI-assisted workflows to increase modeling speed and consistency while maintaining institutional-quality standards.
  • Identify risks, errors, and unrealistic assumptions in deal inputs and proactively flag issues.
  • Continuously improve underwriting templates, assumptions frameworks, and internal best practices aligned with U.S. CRE standards.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, financial analysis, investment sales, lending, or principal-side roles.
  • Previous work experience with a U.S.-based company.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build financial models from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. commercial real estate underwriting concepts including NOI, cap rates, waterfalls, and exit assumptions.
  • Experience analyzing rent rolls, T-12s, and operating statements across common CRE asset types.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Availability to work U.S. business hours (9 AM – 7 PM EST).
  • Experience working with U.S.-focused real estate firms, brokerages, lenders, or investment managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience underwriting multiple asset classes such as multifamily, office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use.
  • Familiarity with brokerage and institutional valuation methodologies.
  • Exposure to PropTech platforms, automation, or AI-driven real estate analysis tools.
  • Background in investment banking, private equity real estate, or institutional brokerage underwriting teams.
