Full Stack Engineer (Python + React)

Location: Colombia

About The Role
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be a foundational builder on a new product initiative—owning complex features end-to-end from database to UI, shaping system architecture alongside senior engineers and product partners, and shipping high-quality software in a fast-moving, 0-to-1 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services in Python and frontend applications in React (approximately 50/50 split)
  • Define and refine system architecture in collaboration with Staff Engineers and Product Managers
  • Own the full feature lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Implement comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage to ensure reliability
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions with Product Management
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment with evolving priorities
  • Other duties as assigned

About You
Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience building complex, large-scale applications (14+ preferred)
  • 3+ years of production Python experience building robust APIs and backend services
  • 3+ years of professional React experience with strong command of modern React ecosystem (state management, UI libraries, frameworks, testing)
  • Strong commitment to testing best practices and code quality
  • Excellent communication skills; able to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Nice to have: experience leading/co-leading architecture decisions
  • Nice to have: experience with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/DynamoDB)
  • Nice to have: Docker and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Nice to have: professional experience with
